Job Description

Our client in Namugongo, operating in the hospitality industry, is launching a new luxury lounge and bar designed to provide an exceptional dining and nightlife experience. To build a team that reflects this standard, we are seeking to recruit talented, passionate, and customer-focused individuals who are committed to excellence, professionalism, and delivering a world-class hospitality experience. Attached are the responsibilities and requirements.

Manager

The Manager will oversee all aspects of the lounge and bar operations, ensuring smooth service delivery, staff coordination, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations and staff.
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards.
  • Monitor financial performance and profitability.
  • Maintain compliance with hospitality regulations.
  • Develop strategies for growth and customer retention.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a management role. Within hospitality is a big advantage
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Bartender (2)

The Bartender will prepare and serve cocktails, wines, and beverages while providing an exceptional bar experience to guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Mix and serve drinks according to standard recipes.
  • Maintain stock and inventory of bar supplies.
  • Provide recommendations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keep bar area clean, safe, and organized.
  • Uphold responsible alcohol service standards.

Requirements:

  • Certificate/Diploma in Barista/Bartending or Hospitality.
  • At least 2 years of bartending experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails and mixology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Chef(2)

The Chef will manage kitchen operations, design menus, and ensure high-quality food preparation in line with luxury dining standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and present high-quality meals.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff.
  • Maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Control stock levels and reduce food wastage.
  • Innovate and update menus regularly.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of international cuisines and fine dining.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary excellence.

Waiter/Waitress (6)

The Waiter/Waitress will deliver professional table service, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable luxury dining experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests promptly.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders.
  • Serve meals and drinks with attention to detail.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints politely.
  • Ensure tables and dining areas are clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Hospitality or related field.
  • Previous experience in fine dining service preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team.

Social Media Executive

The Social Media Executive will be responsible for promoting the lounge, handling website and all social media platforms, managing events, and developing strategies to attract and retain customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Manage social media platforms and online presence.
  • Organize events, promotions, and brand activations online
  • Conduct market research to identify trends.
  • Build partnerships and community engagement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of marketing experience.
  • Strong digital and social media marketing skills.
  • Excellent communication and creativity.
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment.

Security

The Security Officer will maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff while upholding the lounge’s luxury standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor entry and exit points.
  • Conduct routine security checks.
  • Handle disturbances and emergencies professionally.
  • Collaborate with management on security policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in security within hospitality or corporate settings.
  • Physical fitness and alertness.
  • Ability to work with dogs or guns. 
  • Not associated with any Security company but experience is a must atleast 3 years
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Training in security operations is an added advantage.

Cleaners (3)

The Cleaner will ensure that all areas of the lounge and bar are maintained in pristine condition, reflecting a luxury atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize lounge, bar, and dining areas.
  • Maintain restroom hygiene and supply levels.
  • Ensure floors, furniture, and surfaces are spotless.
  • Dispose of waste and manage cleaning supplies.
  • Report maintenance needs promptly.

Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • High standards of cleanliness and presentation.
